Florida's Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction & Enforcement Act(UCCJEA)
This law provides judicial procedures to ensure that foreign custody and support orders - like a decree of divorce or a child support or custody order, for example - from any other state may be recognized & enforced here in Florida.
Florida's UCCJEA is modeled directly after similar Federal Legislation that promotes uniform procedures among all 50 states to locally recognize & enforce family court orders from another state. This law has been adopted in all 50 states & prevents courts from two or more states from making different or conflicting custody or support orders whenever a family relocates & likewise ensures that the state in which your children currently reside will recognize & enforce the order already determined in another state.
The ability to register & enforce your foreign custody & support orders ensures that your visitation & support rights are recognized & protected here or anywhere else you reside in the United States.
Contact me right away if you or your child(ren) have relocated to Florida & need to enforce a custody, visitation or support determination ordered in another state. I'll take care of the process from start to finish & protect the rights of you & your children.
